The neighborhood Tiglarie in Dumbraveni, Sibiu, looks like a broken mouth. The place is called Tigalarie, from the old tile (Tiglarie-tilery) factory located in the area. The houses are sheltered from storms with plastic raps have red walls that look like they have been eaten by a strange plague.
If you ask Nicolae Varga what does he do for a living, he shrugs his shoulders and says that he stays."I'm a Plummer. I have no qualifications because I learned the trade from somebody else. But we can't find work. We work for some people, never contracted.", laments Nicolae.
Sometimes he sings with the children at the neighborhood's church: a house where protestant sermons are given. He plays the drums, so that God may help him. The only hope Nicolae has, is no longer his own work, but his 2 sons that now live in the United States He gave them for adoption in '91. He now twists and turns to find ways to find them."Ma tan ei minte, how could it not! As for the gipsy blood, it stays gipsy! Only if they knew about us, so that they would help".
